Adolf Rasche Haida Bohemian Green Glass Chalice VESTAL VIRGINS Metal Relief

Description

This is a magnificent old chalice, approximately 7 7/8" tall, 5 3/4" diameter at the top, 4" wide at the base. The glass is about 3/16" thick. Quite heavy, weighs about 1 3/4 lbs.
Emerald green glass with an eight-sided cut solid stem. Polished bottom, polished rim. Near the top it has a 2" wide metal (bronze ? brass ?) relief, depicting Vestal Virgins in a garden setting.
Hand made by Adolf Rasche in Haida (Novy Bor), Bohemia and accordinly marked with his monogram as used around 1910.
In excellent condition, no chips, no cracks. There is a small air bubble inside the glass, barely noticeable. The underside shows some shallow scratches from regular use.
