Here's a real crude hand blown pontiled modern reproduction of a U.S.Navy Pepper bottle that was copied from the original Civil War era bottles found on the wreck of the U.S.S.Cairo ironclad gun boat that was sunk during the Civil War. This is a nice looking crude blown bottle that is obviously a repro.....

Hand blown in mold.....sharp pontil scar on bottom....crude sheared lip.....8 sided....smoky olive color....5 1/4"tall...crude whittled glass.....Excellent shiny attic mint condition with no chips or damage. I have dug aqua original open pontiled U.S.Navy Pepper bottles, but this one was made in the 1980s or so....but still very collectible!
