ABOUT THE ARTISTS:
Taking home the 1st place grand prize award in the “Best of Class” jewelry category the 2018 Santa Fe Indian Market. Farrell & Reyes Pacheco were sought out & stood out to the judges & out of many who participated,they took home the title..Their art,the perfection that goes into each & every piece are just a few of the many things that stand out. You just don’t see the type of work they do,nor in the way it’s done..You’ll find that their work is way ‘above average’,it’s fresh,different & unlike anything else you will find out in the market. And just like their ancestors,everything is literally done with the power of the hand..

DESCRIPTION:
What an amazing set to be cherished!To really appreciate this set,you have to understand the techniques used to make them.
THE NECKLACE:
This is made beyond precision,with the wearable portion part of the necklace being made of brown color hand cut Baby Olive Shell heishi & "hand rolled" green turquoise beads.These are not 'bought & restrung' beads,but rather everything was made with the power of the hand! If you run your hand down the heishi,you'll be amazed to find how smooth it is! So smooth,you would think it was made by a commercial manufacture! The green beads in the necklace & earrings are what is called "Hand Rolled", which you do not see artists do too often!
By hand rolling the beads is extremely time consuming technique,where each & every bead starts from a larger size rock & then cut into smaller size pieces where then one by one,they are rolled over & over by hand (via machine grinder),sculpted,beveled & rounded until the bead is formed.You will witness the work marks & each bead will vary in thickness. One needs good dexterity,patience & steady hands to do these tiny beads!
THE CENTER PENDANT PORTION:
Mosaic'd atop of a Picasso Marble backing is Nevada green turquoise that has been snipped into all these little pieces & fill the top in,like a puzzle.The mosaic is done by the hands of Reyes who learned this ancestral art from her award winning uncle"Martine Lovato". It has a undeniable traditional look but at the same time, very contemporary & modern. The necklace is not heavy & is very wearable.
