$ 263.47

Availability: 100 in stock

Description

Lot of postcards and ephemera, a total of 16 items, primarily related to the visit of the 1907-08 U. S. Navy “White Fleet” to Japan and other Pacific locations. These came from the family of Louis Uttendorfer, who served as a Stoker on the U. S. S. Georgia, BB-15, flagship 2nd Division, Squadron One of the Atlantic Fleet. The lot consists of ten postcards, five postal covers and a souvenir pass from the Japanese Imperial Railway system, which span the period from just prior to the Georgia’s sailing to Japan, to the later service of Uttendorfer on other Navy vessels.
Shipping by Insured First Class Mail.
Please note that any return necessary must be of all sixteen (16) items in the lot as shipped, no partial returns.
DUE TO EBAY'S CONVERSION TO SMARTPHONE OPTIMIZED LISTINGS, I CAN NO LONGER PROVIDE A FULL DESCRIPTION OF THIS LOT ON THIS SITE, AS ANYTHING THAT ACTUALLY TELLS YOU ABOUT EACH ITEM IS DEEMED "TOO LONG" AND THE SYSTEM WILL NOT ACCEPT IT.  FURTHER DESCRIPTION IS AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST.
If you have any questions about this lot, PLEASE EMAIL AND ASK - it is far easier to solve problems before they occur than after!
Buy or Bid with confidence: we have a heritage to 1937, and loads of good eBay Feedback, where I have been selling since 1997.
