Up for your consideration is this authentic Pleasant Company Molly's Pup, Bennett the dog made in West Germany of real fur. This individually made pet is by far one of the cutest that I've ever seen. He's adorable, and has moving ears and tail. Take a look at the second version shown in the last picture for comparison purposes only. Excellent condition from an adult's collection in the original box. A pamphlet, "Molly's Birthday Story", copyright 1992, is also included. Aside from being well made and very appealing, the collectability of this item is probably most related to the fact that in 1998 Pleasant Company was sold to Mattel, Inc. Like anything that is no longer made or available, the items produced by Pleasant Company rather than Mattel are very sought after by serious collectors, and therefore tend to be a great investment, and more so now that the Molly's Historical Collection has been entirely retired.
