    Description

Unnamed WW I, Reserve Mallet, AEF, Engineer Cabinet Photo/Portrait, circa 1919.
This photograph depicts an unidentified Reserve Mallet, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Doughboy, circa 1919. He is identified as such by the shield shaped, gold on green, "French hunting horn" shoulder patch on his upper left sleeve. The lower portion of the same sleeve bears two gold overseas service chevrons indicating that he served between 12 and 17 months overseas in France, and, or Germany. His collar disc bears an Engineer castle and the letter "C" for Company C.
The location where the photo was taken is not known, but it was likely shot at a photography studio somewhere in the United States after he had been discharged from the Army.
The image measures 4 X 6 inches and is missing the cardboard holder in which it was originally housed.
This one-hundred, plus, year old photograph is in excellent condition. Additional information, or other high-resolution scans, can be provided upon request.
