Vintage PLEASANT CO. SAMANTHA Doll with Curved Logo, White Body, 1990's.
This is an early 18" American Girl doll, marked Pleasant Company in curved letters on the neck. The cloth body is pale (white) muslin.  Her medium brown hair is in good condition. Eyes are bright with full, curled lashes. Her strings are good, she stands alone, but she's not real tight.
Samantha has her original clothing: Dress with locket pin, black tights, vinyl shoes and a velveteen hat with long ribbons. Tights are loose at the waist but they do stay up. The doll is very clean and in lovely condition. I couldn't find any flaws. No odors. No damage to clothing or hat, except for a  very small hole in the toe of her tights.
This is an exceptionally nice vintage Samantha doll from the early years of the Pleasant Company (pre-Mattel.)  Doll is pre-owned, lightly played-with, and you get what is shown in the photos. Please feel free to ask questions.
