    Vintage Rawleigh Pure Vanilla Extract Bottle & Paper Label Freeport IL
    This item is a Pure Vanilla Extract empty bottle,
    with a paper label
    ,  from W.T. Rawleigh Med Company of Freeport, Illinois.  This was for use in "cakes, puddings, ice cream & candies".
    The bottle is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. It measures approximately 1 1/4 inches X 2 1/4 X 6 1/4 and is clear glass with a cork style top.  The bottle seam lines appear to stop at the lower neck ring 1 1/4 inches down from the top.
    The paper label is in fair condition.  Please carefully look at the pictures to assist you with determining the condition.  We are not experts at determining the condition.  The label is There a number of small spots and light brown stains.  There is a picture on the label which we assume to be Mr. Rawleigh, it is somewhat difficult to see due to the label condition in that area. The label becomes more readable as you go lower on the label. It states "Use to Suit the Taste".  "We guarantee this Extract to be absolutely pure and to meet the requirements of Pure Food Laws" "Prepared only by W.T. Rawleigh Medical Company Freeport Ill USA"
    We are not sure what time frame this bottle dates to and are not experts in that.  We question 1890s - early 1900s?
