WW I, AEF Doughboy "Mock Surrender U.S. "Postcard" RPPC Photo/Portrait, circa 1918.
A group of unidentified AEF, watch with some amusement as their heroic pal marches a very phony captured, ah, German soldier through camp, circa 1918.
The German soldier is not authentic, nor is his awards/medals. His helmet, however, is of genuine Imperial German Army issue.
There is no indication as to the unit with which these men served or the exact location where the photo was taken. It likely originated in France or Germany sometime in late 1918.
The postcard is unposted and printed on U.S. postcard stock.
This one-hundred, plus, year old postcard is in excellent condition. Additional information, or other high-resolution scans, can be provided upon request.
