JoBeth Mayes/Maize Zuni turquoise and silver cuff. This unique design by Mayes is made with a wide thick shank of sterling silver and features 2 techniques of flush inlaid stones and raised bezel set stones.
Each snake eye stone was hand carved and polished before being placed in a straight hand made bezel. Looking closely at the bezel set stones, one can sett that they are all not all rounded. Hand poured silver droplets accompany the bulging stones and taper down in size as they get closer to each end. The inlaid stones sit at the top and bottom edges of the face. The face has a very dark oxidized finish that creates a highly dimensional and contrasting display with the stones and polished silver rods.
This gorgeous Zuni made piece will make a great addition to your collection of fine Native American jewelry...or it could be the perfect piece to state the collection with.
